Accountant & Work Study Payroll Specialist
Pamela Smith is the Accountant & Work Study Payroll Specialist for the Office of Student Loans and Personal Finance. She has worked at Duke for 12 years, with a bulk of that time spent supporting graduate students in Duke's Psych & Neuro Department.
Within the Office of Student Loans and Personal Finance, Pam's biggest touch point with students comes in her role as the coordinator for the work study program where she assists students in navigating employment opportunities on campus and in the community.
Outside of the office, Pam enjoys reading, spending time with family, and is an avid cruiser!
Pam's advice when thinking about personal finances as a student is "Take the time to understand your budget, goals, and the importance of your overall credit worthiness".
