A few years ago, as I began building a firm entrepreneurial understanding, I realized the importance of having good credit.
By that time, in 2013, my credit had already been on a roller coaster of highs and lows. Initially, right after college, my score was non-existent, as I had no personal credit record to speak of. After college, when I got my first credit card, I lacked the responsibility to pay my bills on time and my score quickly plummeted. By 2010 I brought it up to the ‘good’ or 700 range by diligent payments and working with a somewhat shady credit repair company to fight any delinquency demerits on my report.
