Monitor & Track Your Progress
Once you have your spending plan in place, you'll need to monitor and track your progress either monthly, or at a minimum, quarterly. There are a number of tools you can use, spreadsheets, third party apps, bank apps, etc.
When choosing a budget app, the most important consideration is security. Check with your own bank to see if they offer a budget app. If they do, you may want to consider using your bank’s app. Using an app provided to you by your bank is less risky than using an app from a third party provider. If you decide to go with a third party app, check with your bank to be sure you still have fraud protection, and make sure your app has these security features.
